Biography
I am a fashion historian, curator, author, and educator. I am endlessly inspired by fashion’s ability to empower, define, and transform the self. I study fashion objects to uncover stories lost to history.
My interests include 19th, 20th, and 21st century fashion; retail history in New York; the American photographer Alice Austen; history of photography; gender and identity performance; museum theory and practice; Israeli fashion; fashion & diplomacy and the history of the luxury brand Gottex which was the topic of my MA thesis paper, two exhibitions I curated, and a documentary film I co-created. I am currently enrolled in the PhD program in History at NYU where I study the material culture of ordinary people.
