While the ERA has been reintroduced in almost every congressional session since, the amendment has yet to be ratified. “Our Bodies Our Power:” Women at the Forefront of the Equal Rights Amendment returns to this tumultuous history, exploring how the ERA has inspired women's activists to continually place their bodies on the line in order to fight for—or against—enshrining gender equity in law. Featuring ephemera, clothing, and photography from these protests, the installation reveals how activists have applied lessons from the civil rights movement, antiwar protests, and labor struggles to bring public attention to their cause.
